And the new Yoder Smokers stainless steel wood-fired oven is no exception. The original wood-fired oven elevated the already robust versatility of the YS480 and YS640 pellet cookers, transforming backyard and competition cooks’ Yoder experience with the most capable outdoor oven on the market. From inception, our engineering team set-out to reimagine the way an oven functions and therefore improve upon how the oven’s heat should circulate. Iteration after iteration resulted in an extraordinary final product delivering results like nothing else on the market, then or now.
But true to our philosophy and steadfast commitment to customer satisfaction, when the opportunity to improve upon the original design arose, our team went to work. In this case, our team had been discussing the idea of incorporating 16-gauge 304 stainless steel into the design of the oven, foregoing the powder coated carbon steel components. These original components were and are very much up to our rigid standards of quality, and will perform well for years. In other words, the original product design had not failed, but our relentless pursuit for improvement pushed our teams to strive for more. And with that, the mindset became centered around a boost to the oven’s durability while providing superior resistance to corrosion. Once the plans were approved and in place, the stainless-steel models moved into production.
Enter the new stainless steel wood-fired oven. All the same cooking prowess as before, but with the resilience of stainless steel. Designed to cook from the bottom up and top down simultaneously, the oven cooks quick and with broiler-like browning. From bubbling-hot pizza to sautéing and baking, the Yoder Smokers wood-fired oven can do it all.
